My love of New England’s older homes and an appreciation for the varying architectural styles in the region inspired me to start my company in 2016. We work with our clients in Newton and the surrounding communities to discover the potential embedded within their homes. Character never goes out of style. Our goal is to create spaces that are updated and on trend while also preserving a home’s history and highlighting architecture and character.
Sarah
Design is a second career for me. I hold a degree in Physics from Baylor University and a PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology from Brandeis University. I left science to pursue a more creative profession and explore my passion for historic architecture. I have studied at both the New York School for Interior Design and the Boston Architectural College and have spent the past 10+ years working in the interior design field.
I am committed to creating homes that are unique and reflect who my clients are. I consider it a privilege to be a part of my client’s lives and give them a bespoke design experience that combines artistry, function and outstanding service. I love mixing styles and fusing together traditional and modern décor. I can work in both neutral and colorful pallets; either way the end result needs to be personalized to my clients and emphasize the best features of the home. I prefer timeless over trendy and have a particular affinity to British-inspired colors and patterns. Quality is always a top priority. I recognize hiring an interior designer in an investment in your home, and I want the spaces we design and the pieces we select to last.
I live in Newton with my husband and two kids. When not working, I love to run and sip rare bourbons (but not at the same time).
Working with Sarah was amazing! Not only does she have great style, but she really understands the style of her clients. She is responsible and professional, and she has great contacts in all areas (upholstery, window decor, wallpaper, paint, custom furniture, etc.) so whatever you need she can do. She knows when to splurge and when to save to make the room look perfect. Every time I look around my house I am so happy with what I see, I will absolutely be working with Sarah again.
